SnapPlus (Soil Nutrient Application Planner) is Wisconsin's nutrient management planning software. The program helps farmers make the best use of their on-farm nutrients, as well as make informed and justified commercial fertilizer purchases. By calculating potential soil and phosphorus runoff losses on a field-by-field basis while assisting in the economic planning of manure and fertilizer applications, SnapPlus provides Wisconsin farmers with a tool for protecting soil and water quality.
These help pages document how to use SnapPlus V3 and will be frequently updated with new content starting in August 2024.
For many years, SnapPlus was only available as a desktop application for Windows computers. We call the desktop version of SnapPlus Version 2 (V2). We are excited to announce that a web-based Version 3 (V3) is now available for training and testing. SnapPlus V3 is a web application. It works on any computer that can connect to the internet.
We are making Version 3 available while we are finishing it to allow planners to begin preparing for the transition from Version 2 to Version 3 in the 2026 nutrient management planning season. Please review our change log and under construction list for more information about recent changes and additional features.
