The land attributes tab is the home of all field related data. If the fields are created using snapmaps the data will automatically be calculated. If the data is hand entered, then any default values should be verified.
Critical Soil: The dominant critical soil type is the most erodible soil type that covers at least 10% of the field.
Predominant Soil: The predominant soil is used to calculate nutrient recommendations for crops. It is determined by finding the soil that covers at least 50% of the field. If no soil covers at least 50% of the field we will determine which soils contain the most overlap in yield potential and soil characteristics and choose based on that to provide nutrient recommendations that are the most appropriate.
