There are a few requirements that must be met to successfully import a shapefile:

.shp — Shape format; the geometry itself.dbf — Attribute format; column data.prj — Projection format; coordinate system informationSome import settings are shared across all feature types and some only apply to specific feature types.

After you select your feature type, some additional settings may appear depending on the feature type.
The features listed below can be imported into maps. If a column is marked required, then values must be included in the shapefile that can be mapped to the column.
