SnapPlus offers the ability to save a collection of nutrient applications (a nutrient system) and quickly add them to a nutrient management plan. This feature is available on the nutrients page and the Nutrient Application Planner on the management page. Nutrient systems can also be accessed in templates and annual application updates.
Nutrient systems are also converted over from SnapPlus V2 plans when possible.
If the user's plan has no nutrient systems, the only thing visible in the nutrient systems tab will be a toolbar with an input box and a prompt to add a name for the first nutrient system:

Once the name has been saved, features to add nutrient applications to the system become available. The +New manure and +New fertilizer buttons can be used to add applications to the nutrient system:

Unlike the NAP or the Daily Log, field specific information about applications, like the detailed breakdown of nutrients in proportion, is not available until the system is applied to a crop on a field. Some information is required before SnapPlus can save a new application into a nutrient system:
Nutrient system applications are assigned to a restricted area type when they are saved. When the nutrient system is applied, the restricted area type of the application will depend on which restrictions actually apply on the field. For example, if there is no Winter prohibited area on the field, nutrient system applications set to apply to area type of No winter will be left off of the selected crop(s) to which the system is applied.
Some fertilizer sources can be applied with nitrification inhibitors. SnapPlus keeps a record of which of the base list of fertilizer sources can be applied with nitrification inhibitors. Any custom fertilizer source with some nitrogen can also be used with a nitrification inhibitor. This property can be applied, where possible, in the nutrient system.
